How we handle your data

This explains what happens to the personal data you give Skills@CCDS — including what you upload during profile setup — and what you are agreeing to when you tick the consent box.

By using this service, you agree that the 26th SCDS Main Committee may collect, use and disclose the personal data you provide on this website for the purposes of information processing and contacting you, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). For any questions or issues, or to withdraw your consent, email scds-it@e.ntu.edu.sg.

We keep a copy of your resume file

Your uploaded resume is stored on our server so that employers and validators on Skills@CCDS can access it when they review your profile. Only you can see it on your own profile page, where you can view it, replace it, or delete it outright at any time — deleting it removes the file from our server.

The text is sent to OpenAI for extraction

To identify your skills, projects, and experience, the text of your resume is sent to OpenAI, a third-party service outside Singapore. Do not upload a resume containing information you are not willing to share with them.

Only the extracted fields are saved

We keep the structured results — your name, contact details, skills, projects, activities, and work experience. The raw text of your resume is not retained, and we do not store your education history.

Your profile is visible to other CCDS users

Signed-in students and validators can find your profile and see what you have chosen to make public. You can hide individual skills at any time from your profile page.

Your rights under the PDPA

The 26th SCDS Main Committee is responsible for the personal data you provide here. You may ask to access or correct it, or withdraw your consent and have your profile removed, by emailing scds-it@e.ntu.edu.sg. Withdrawing consent means we can no longer keep your profile on Skills@CCDS.

Uploading is optional

You do not have to upload a resume. Declining means the automatic extraction step is skipped — you can still build a profile by entering your details yourself.

Changing your mind

You can edit or remove any extracted detail from your profile page at any time, and control which skills are visible to others.
